19th SINS National Congress

on behalf of the Organising Committee, under the aegis of the Governing Board of the Society, we are pleased to inform you that the next National Congress of the Italian Society for Neuroscience (SINS) will take place from the 9th to the 11th of September 2021.
The congress, originally based in Brescia, due to the circumstance related to the Covid19 emergency, will be structured in virtual mode.
Similarly to the previous editions, there will be Symposia selected according to the criteria of originality and scientific quality, and Lectures by invite, held by prestigious italian and foreign researchers in neuroscience.
The multidisciplinary topics will be focused on the processes regarding functioning of the nervous system and pathogenesis of neurological and psychiatric disorders, with particular attention to the impact in diagnostic and therapeutic terms.
Brain ischemia, epilepsy, neurodegenerative chronic diseases, neurodevelopmental disorders, brain tumors, migraine and pain will be some of the most relevant topics. Attention will be given also to emerging issues such as neurorobotics, neuroinformatics, neuroCOVID and artificial intelligence in neuroscience.
We and the Society aim to continue to promote and divulge the neuroscience and the scientific thought, even in hard time. Virtual spaces will be created in order to share scientific and promotional materials, with the possibility to communicate and participate by remote.
In light of the importance of the event and considering the topics that will be discussed, we are certain that the Congress will appeal to your interest.
