| September 17-19, 2007 'From molecules to Cognition: a tribute to Jean-Pierre Changeux' |
Web site http://www.pasteur.fr/infosci/conf/sb/neuroscience_pasteur/
The Workshop will attempt a synthesis of our current understanding of the molecular basis of cognition, covering the whole range
of neuroscience from the three-dimensional structure of molecules to brain imaging in humans.
This Workshop will honour at the same time Jean-Pierre Changeux as a pioneer in the field of molecular neurobiology, on the
occasion of his retirement from the Institut Pasteur.
We are pleased that Dr Richard Axel (Columbia University, HHMI, New York, USA), Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine 2004 and Dr Susumu
Tonegawa (Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, USA), Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine 1987 have agreed to give lectures.
Session 1: Allosteric Mechanisms
Session 2: Neuromuscular junction/Synaptogenesis
Session 3: Genetic specification of neurons and axonal pathways
Session 4: Neuronal networks
Session 5: Sensory processing, learning and cognition
Session 6: Evolution and disease
