  A one-year Postdoc position - Istituto Mario Negri Milano
We look for a highly-motivated postdoctoral researcher to work on the molecular mechanisms and biological functions of novel scaffold proteins that play key role in neuronal death. This project is positioned on the interface between molecular neuroscience and protein chemistry. The aim of the project is to identify and study interacting proteins that play key role in neuronal death as well as examine the mechanisms by which proteins mediate their biological functions. The work will involve substantial use of cell and neuronal cultures, molecular biology, and protein chemistry. The successful candidate will work in the laboratory of Dr. Tiziana Borsello. Applicants must have a PhD in relevant subject area and previous experience in molecular and cell biology methods is essential. A background in protein chemistry, molecular neuroscience and/or transgenic animals is advantageous. The position is available immediately (may2008).
