  Terremoto in Abruzzo

Messaggio del Presidente e del Consiglio Direttivo

Il presidente ed il consiglio direttivo della SINS esprimono il loro cordoglio per le vittime e la loro solidarieta' a tutte le persone colpite dal terremoto in Abruzzo. Un pensiero particolare va ai colleghi ed agli studenti dell'Universita' dell'Aquila. Certi di interpretare il sentimento di tutti gli iscritti alla SINS, assicuriamo che ogni sforzo verra' prodotto dalla SINS per aiutare colleghi e studenti a ricostruire i laboratori e continuare le loro ricerche.

On behalf of the Society for Neuroscience, I would like to express our solidarity with the neuroscience community of Italy during this sad and difficult time in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake that has hit the Abruzzo region. We are especially saddened to hear of the destruction at the University of L’Aquila. Our thoughts are with you and your countrymen, and our deepest sympathies to those of you who have been directly affected by this tragedy. We hope and pray that you and your loved ones are safe and out of harm’s way, and we send our sincerest wishes for your country’s speedy recovery.

With deep sorrow we learned about the earthquake in L’Aquila, which has resulted in so many life looses and suffering. Even knowing there is little we could do in practical terms, in representation of the Chilean Neuroscience Society, I would like to express our solidarity with all people in Italy and with special feelings for our fellow colleagues from the University of L’Aquila, who in addition to the tragedy of their personal loses are suffering because of the destruction of their work place. Our thought and sincere sympathy are with the people of Italy.
