Description: The main focus of our research is to contestually evaluate different targets involved in chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropahy, such as cytoskeleton and tubulin post-translational modifications (Pero et al., 2021 PNAS). In addition, mitochondrial dysfunction, axonal trafficking and alterations of intracellular calcium after chemotherapy-treatment will be investigated. From selected candidate is expected competence in cell lines and primary neuronal culture handling and mainteinance, differentiation of human iPSC sensory neurons, and molecular biology techniques. Candidate with experience in preclinical models of neurological disorders and/or in live-cell imaging (confocal microscopy) and/or calcium imaging are encouraged to apply. Eligibility criteria: Biomedical Master’s degree or similar, pro active approach, teamworking, good oral and written English language skills. A PhD in Neuroscience or similar is required.
