The Gruppo Italiano per lo Studio della Neuromorfologia (GISN) is an Italian scientific society committed to fostering research and education in the field of neuromorphology, broadly encompassing cellular and structural neuroscience. Every year the group organizes an annual meeting, designed to provide a collaborative environment for young and senior researchers, and students. It promotes active discussions, mentoring opportunities, and the creation of scientific networks. The XXXV GISN Congressmeeting will include activities such as seminars, dynamic discussions, poster sessions and a social event. In particular, the core scientific topics will cover many aspects concerning the nervous system, such as neuroanatomy and neuromorphology, neurodevelopment and plasticity, neuropathology and neurodegeneration, neuroinflammation, innovative techniques in neuroscience. Moreover, the congress will feature two keynote lectures: Prof. Makoto Sato (Department of Anatomy, Osaka University, Japan) in November 28; and Prof. Francesca Cirulli (Istituto Superiore di Sanità, Rome, Italy), in November 29. Both lectures will provide insight into frontier research topics.
