A group of 23 US Representatives led by Greg Steube (R-FL) and Dina Titus (D-NV) sent a letter to the Director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) requesting information on the use of dogs and cats in animal testing at the NIH. The letter urged the NIH to support alternatives to animal testing and work to “reduce and eliminate the use of dogs and cats in taxpayer-funded research”. The full letter can be found at this [LINK].
